The Festina Lente, who was born in 1925, loves the Waddensea. This shallow drafted ship has the Waddensea, the Ijsselmeer, and the Friesian lakes at its fingers' ends. The everlasting accommodation is cosy. The name Festina Lente, comes from the Latin and means "Rush slowly but surely". The Waddensea... sailing there means scratching and grubbing through fairways, finding your way through gullies when the water is low, and stay on a submerged bank of sand near the shore, which is exposed at low tide. Searching for mussels or anchoring, while you really experience the silence. This is preeminently Festina Lente's recommendation. On the outside a traditional sailing ship, from the inside a very friendly accommodation, with privacy in the cabins (four extra long berths of 2.10 meters = 82 inches) and central heating throughout.
