FOX XC
An especially comfortable and sporty yacht.

Fox XC is the latest addition to the hire fleet of Sailing Point in Terherne. The letters XC stand for Xtra Comfort. However the boat is also slightly more sporty than standard Foxes.??

Under the name of Fox Racing, the flashy looking lemon-green yacht was part of the Friesland Holland tourist office show fleet. The boat is a good as new and has been upgraded to touring yacht with new sails and a number of removable comfort-enhancing facilities.??

The XC has an electrically powered 6 hp Yamaha outboard motor, Sprenger Racing fittings, Furlex roller foresail system, a rejuvenated anodised aluminium Neutmast mast, a boom with an integrated rapid reefing system and new Gaastra touring sails. The spreaders and deck are illuminated from the mast.

In the cockpit there is a 220 V shore electrical connection and a battery with battery charger. Nautical instruments, such as a bulkhead mounted compass and a speedometer and echo sounder, help the captain to stay on course.??

The four person cabin is fitted with soft-green upholstery, wood accents, atmospheric lighting, FM radio and aerial, two wall sockets and a chemical toilet.

The lightweight outboard motor mounted on the open stern, the special yachting fittings and a rejuvenated mast means this Fox is faster than a Fox with standard rigging and a motor in the well.
